Romance- One Volume

Beloved Teddy Bear

Short, naive, teddy-loving Yasushii believed that the boy Igarashi Yuu's death was partly her fault. So when the ghost of Yuu takes a visit and decides to live as her beloved teddy bear, her life changes drastically.

Opinion
This story can be almost heartbreaking at some points but its a very cute and romantic story. The art is old school. The volume contains two extra oneshots at the end.

Celebrity Friendship Treaty (Celebrity Yuukoujouyaku)

Chidori gets dumped by her boyfriend because he is embarrassed by her father who plays silly roles in movies and soap operas. While she was still trying to get over him, she befriends two boys, Kikuya and Yuu, who aspire to be actors. She starts dating Kikuya, but she fear that he too will dump her because of her father. Will her fear push him away? Also includes side story about Yuu and Chidori's best friend.

Asa mo, Hiru mo, Yoru mo (Morning, Noon, and Night)

A two volume story (although it also contains some side stories) about a girl who was abused badly by a guy in her last year of middle school. When she got to high school, one of her classmates looks exactly like the man who abused her and she can't stand being near him!! What happens when he tells her he's in love with her?!

Opinion
I really liked this story a lot. Except for the extremeness of the rape, which they only mention but don't show and is probably necessary for the story to make sense, it was really nice. You see the story from both the guy and the girl's pov. The story is slowly (but not too slowly) developed and the emotions are raw. Also, the girl character is pretty strong and the guy isn't the 'perfect' prince charming so I saw them as pretty realistic characters as far as manga goes.

Taiyou wa Kimi ni Kagaya ku

Chinatsu was so amazed after watching a baseball match on TV, that she decided to enter to Tsubakawa High, hoping to be near the baseball team she admired so much.

Opinion
When I started reading it, I thought it was a series, not a one shot, so the ending caught me by surprise. But the ending was very suitable. I loved the girl's character. =) Nice original love confession.

The King's Pawnshop

Amy alway falls for the wrong guys, and she is bad at judging guys. First, her first crush makes her into a slave, secondly, when she confess to a guy, he practically pushed her down, and finally she was cheated by her former boyfriend. Is working with Shuu in his pawnshop to become better in judging men a right choice?

Opinion
It was really nice! ^^ I liked the guy's personality a lot!

Cherish

Chihiro is a freshman in University. Will she be able to meet her destined one?! And what is with her ex-boyfriend?

Opinion
It was a nice romance. It was interesting, involving issues (gay parents) I had never seen in manga before. The authoress is Yoshizumi Wataru so it has the same feeling as all her mangas (Spicy Pink, Marmalade Boy, Random Walk, Ultra Maniac) which is a good feeling.

Gyutto shite Chuu

Mai Kojima is a slightly ditzy 16 year old. She’s gotten her first boyfriend! They’ve been dating for 3 months. Even though they should be at their most lovey-dovey, they haven’t been able to make out at all… That’s because her boyfriend Yu-kun is a super exam-taking student aiming for T-University. Every day is an uneasy one without much hugging or kissing. "Come on, I wanna do more lovey-dovey stuff!!"

Opinion
Wooow! It was soo cute! I mean, it's just a simple story of a couple going out. The confession was fast and everything, but it was so cute and heart-warming! What a cute couple! ^o^ Oh, and in the last story, after the second page I knew it was her doggie! ^o^ Which was so cute too~ lol, I overused the word cute. XD

A Girl In A Million

A English girl goes on vacation to Amsterdam. While she was there, she delivers a book for her friend. The person who she has to give the book to is a man who lives in a mansion! She was dazzled by him and he was very kind to her. When she returns to England, she goes back to work as a nurse for little children. When a little boy has a serious concussion and must have a risky surgery, a special anesthesiologist is called in. And he turns out to be the same man from Amsterdam. Will he remember the English girl? Harlequin manga.

A Prince Needs a Princess

Clarissa is on a mission. The Kingdom of Marik needs a prince, and it's Clarissa's job to see that Jack Brown takes on his rightful position--even if he doesn't want to. Is it just Marik and the king that need Jack, or will Clarissa get her prince, too?

Opinion
A Harlequin Pink manga. If you like the dramatic romance novels where the girls are very proper and sensitive and the dashing handsome male sweeps her off her feet, this is the oneshot for you! However, I don't think this was my fave Harlequin manga.

Never Kiss A Stranger

Laura, a college-educated girl from England, was hired to be an assistant to a famous romance novel writer. One night, she caught a masked robber breaking into her employer's room, and he gave her a kiss before fleeing the scene! Who is this mysterious man? And that's not all...mysterious activities are occurring here and there...

Opinion
Another Harlequin manga. But most definitely not one of my favorites...

No Competition

After years of living in her beautiful sister's shadow and losing countless boyfriends to her, Carrie Lockett cannot believe that hunky Shane Reynolds could really fall for her!

Opinion
Hmmm...I think it was decent! =) Also a Harlequin manga.
