When she gets home one say, her mom's new bf is one of Azayoshi's old clients and to top it all off, his son is Ai. It was an interesting manga but not that great. The tone of the volume reminded me of Confidential Confessions and the like.

Shibou to Iu Na no Fuku o Kite

(In the Clothes Named Fat)

A story that wonderfully depicts the emotions of an overweight woman with low self-esteem surrounded within the harsh environment of slim and good-looking women. She then decides to lose weight after getting dumped by her lover. The consequences and side-effects are explored further after the 'achievement'..is it what she really wished for?

The question in the summary is how the manga ended. There was no real finish which was a little disappointing. It was a good josei manga. Almost a little disturbing. Showed the emotional imbalances of a person. But no good ending :(

Finals Week and Winter Break

I guess it was that time of year again! I started reading a lot of oneshots. It's a little like an addiction~ I bumped into a few awesome ones and then I wanted to read more and more until I found more awesome ones. Unfortunately you also run into some really horrible stories here and there ~____~

Wagamama na Junai

Miyo likes Kendo, but she accidentally confesses to the wrong person. She confesses to Kuratarou, this big and brash guy she's really afraid of. He, since he doesn't know how to treat girls, thinks the definition of girlfriend is lackey and has her doing errands and homework for him.

It was so overly dramatic, bad art, I didn't like it at all. The things the cropped up out of nowhere! It was ridiculous.

Ibitsu

A boy went to take his trash out late one night, and found a strange, creepy, gothic-lolita-dressed woman sitting amongst the garbage bags. She asked if he had a little sister, and he answered her, hurrying afterwards back to his apartment. When he looked out the window, she was gone. Who is the strange woman, and why does she give him such a bad feeling?

Review
It was really creepy. I little too graphic at times. Just think of the really gory horror movies. It was just like that. I haven't read many mangas like this so I don't have much to compare it to, but I think it was a pretty decent read.

Replay

Karam seems to be forgetting something important. She receives gifts every year from a mysterious benefactor. But that doesn't answer why she is confused about her new teacher, Mr.Lee's strange aura. And also the fact that she seems to be uncannily familiar with what's happening.

Hitoribocchi wa Samishikute

Shio has no friends and is known as a devil, because she often writes something in her notebook.
Though, no one has seen what she has written in it. Until that day....

To tell the truth, it's very cute at times (both the art and some of the story) but I didn't quite enjoy it. Reason one being that most of the story relies heavily on Shio's beautiful singing and other music and it's very hard to imagine. And reason two being that it's one of those reckless teenage stories of rebelling against parents and "the man" and the school and grown ups in general. As a teenager I've felt oppressed by adults on multiple occasions but I still can't fully support a story of teenage rebellion and disrespect.

Clash

A prince at school and at home, Yama is the perfect student. Only when he is alone can he show his true self and his true personality. But, one day, a girl named Saku follows him to his villa and somehow she finds out about his true personality. What will happen now!?

This has to be the least clashing story ever. EVERYTHING was soo overdone and even the cliche parts were utterly lame! Dancing with little children, the doggie dance? Really? The art was bad too. I hate those extremely pointy faced drawings. I guess it was just not my cup of tea.

includes Kimi to Iru Kyoushitsu
About a boy and girl who are friends. They get along well. But she likes him and when she confesses he tells her he can't date her.

Better than the main story.

It was really weird...they were college kids though so it's not shoujo manga so at least it had a different feel.

Sumire wa Blue

Kinoshita Sumire first saw Makimura Daichi in the library. For some reason, she was very attracted to the way he twirls his pencil, and from then on, she started taking interest in him. Daichi is a member of a famous ice hockey team and is secretly in love with his childhood friend, Shouji. These two people have nothing in common at all, yet they slowly get closer to each other.

Review
I really liked it the way I like Suki Kirai Suki, the other one shot manga of this mangaka. The reason being that her mangas are very slow and realistic. The feelings develop slowly, the characters have very casual and realistic conversations, and the events are not forced. My favorite characters in the story were Sumire and Daichi's respective best friends. Especially Sumire's. They were both very supportive and spunky and funny. I wish there had been a little more focus on them. Shouji was a very selfish girl who was cute and knew it too. Daichi was indecisive and slow and a bit annoying as well. Sumire's feelings were pure but almost stalkerish which was funny and squeal worthy. I just wish that it didn't seem like Daichi choose her as a number two. It was mostly a story of the stubborn Daichi getting over his childhood crush. He got Shouji out of his system and moved on. I still liked the focus on Sumire and her developing feelings. It was an enjoyable story and I had a good time staying up to 6 am reading it. And I just didn't get the point of the side story (Green Apple, Red Apple) which focuses on Daichi and Shouji about 3 years before. It just featured both Daichi's and Shouji's deceitfulness and selfishness again.

Also includes one chapter oneshot:

Very Black White Day

Opinion
I generally find the Beads Club story tedious, but the Black White Day one shot is great. :)

I thought 3 Years had a suitable ending. It's a manga about growing up. I felt like she (the protagonist) deserved neither of them at the end. I really liked the ending and I think it really reflected how you change through out high school. It was amazing. I think the manga-ka thought up of the ending while she was still working on the story. Like her characters came to life and that's how the story unraveled.

Otome Gokoro
