Mitsuko, it is alluded, can see ghosts. It was a very interesting read.

The Ring

After hearing that a group of students died horrible deaths exactly one week after watching a "cursed" video, Reiko locates the video and watches it herself. Now, she has one week to try to end the curse and prevent her own death.

Better than the America movie, it tells the original story. It definitely gave me the chills and the background story was a lot clearer. I enjoyed the art as well.

A rather morbid, sombre manga about two high school students, Kamiyama Itsuki and Morino Yoru, who have a peculiar interest in deaths and especially in murders that are committed near to them. Due to their strong fascination with murder and highly-developed analytical skills (along with some luck), they manage to solve the murders that have even eluded the authorities. However, acting on their own sense of justice and in self-interest, the murderers are often able to escape with the murders that they have committed. Often, it is Kamiyama that solves the cases even to the most subtle of details, but he is only interested in one thing, and that is the method to which Yoru Morino should be killed.

I thought it was a pretty good story. A little morbid- but good.

There is also a movie that follows the storyline very well. The male actor is soo cool!

When Kunuyoshi was on his way home, he saw honor student, Ikeda, in the river looking for his notebook. Then, the girl who picked up the notebook, Murozono appears and she has come to know about the ‘murder-plans’ written in it… Also contains earlier one-shots by Midorikawa Yuki- Flower’s Marking, Cold Day like Before and Nameless Guest.

The girl in this story has mysterious flower drawings appear on her desk in school. She wonders where they came from and what they mean. She later realizes that her classroom is used by the night school students so it might be one of them. She later meets the boy who sits in her desk for night school. He is an artist who has lost the will to paint.

Cold Days Like Before
Kunuyoshi and Murozono from the first story start dating. Ikeda liked Murozono but he respects their relationship and doesn't let them know it bother him. Tooyama, a underclassman of Ikeda, starts liking him after he's nice to her. And even though he rejects her confession, she keeps watching him from afar.

Nameless Guest
In a hostage situation, 4 people who don't know each other are trapped in a concert hall by some armed men. A young man is able to infiltrate the room where the hostages are kept. He has the mission to rescue Tateishi-sama. However, he doesn't know which of four hostages is Tateishi-sama and the hostages won't cooperate with him for their safety.

Opinion
A mystery story that was interesting. But I figured out what was happening after like the first 5 pages...and just wanted them to reveal the truth already.
